Katy Talerico, MD

Dr. Talerico grew up in Niles, attending Maine South with Dr. Crawford, but spent many years outside of the area before returning. She graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Notre Dame.  She earned her MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and went on to complete her General Pediatrics residency at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ.  She has worked in various settings over her over 20-year career, mainly in private practice in the Gurnee area. She is board-certified in General Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, especially newborn care and endocrine issues.  She splits time at Park Ridge Pediatrics and the College of Lake County, where she teaches Anatomy & Physiology as well as Biology. 

In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family and friends, especially her 3 children and 2 dogs.
