Susan Crawford, MD

Dr. Susan Crawford brings years of experience to her practice, providing a calm and compassionate approach to patient care.  She feels privileged to work with many wonderful families.  Dr. Crawford joined Park Ridge Pediatrics in 2016, appreciating the personalized approach to patient care found in private practice.  She is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois Chicago.   She completed a pediatric residency at the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital, served as Chief Resident, and then did one year of research in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.  Dr. Crawford worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings in several Chicagoland children’s hospitals before joining Park Ridge Pediatrics. She is board-certified in General Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She maintains connections with Lutheran General by supervising pediatric residents and by serving as a member of the Pediatric Ethics Advisory Committee.

Dr. Crawford grew up in Park Ridge and returned with her husband to raise three children here.  She loves all sports, plays piano, and enjoys traveling.
